Dev Deepawali — Maharani Motor Boat
The same night, the same route, fewer people aboard. On Dev Deepawali the difference between fifty and forty guests is the difference between watching the ghats and being able to photograph them — more space at the rail when the aarti lamps rise and the fireworks start.
The boat runs the full arc of the 84 ghats, holding position for the Ganga Aarti and again for the laser show, with snacks and refreshments served on board. Life jackets are provided and worn throughout, and the ride continues until the scheduled shows conclude.
How it runs
- 4:00 PM sharp — Report at the designated ghatApproaches close to vehicles well before sunset, so late arrivals cannot be moved to a later boat.
- 4:45 PM — Boarding beginsThe boat then crosses to the far bank, where the whole illuminated riverfront is in front of you.
- 5:00 – 8:30 PM — The show beginsYour boat takes you along all 84 ghats — the Ganga Aarti from the water, the laser light show and the fireworks.
