Evening Ganga Aarti — Private Boat
Every evening thousands crowd the steps of Dashashwamedh for the Ganga Aarti. You board at Man Mandir Ghat next door, and your boat anchors on the water before the first lamp rises — the full ceremony, unobstructed, with the city glowing behind it. Your captain handles the position; you handle nothing.
After the last lamp, float your own diyas on the river (they are included, with flowers) and glide back to the ghat by 7:15. A ₹999 advance locks the boat; the balance is due only on ride day.
How it runs
- 5:45 PM — Board at Man Mandir GhatYour captain sends a pin and waits with a name board.
- 6:00 PM — Glide past the evening ghatsDarbhanga, Munshi and Ahilyabai ghats as the lamps come on.
- 6:20 PM — Anchored before the aarti beginsFront-row on the water for the full ceremony.

Boarding is at Man Mandir Ghat, one ghat north of Dashashwamedh. On ride day your captain sends a WhatsApp pin and waits at the steps with a name board — no searching, no middlemen.
Yes. The boat is broad and stable, boarding is from low steps with the captain helping, and you sit anchored for most of the ceremony. Life jackets come in all sizes, children included.
