Ghat-View Guesthouse — Assi

A small family-run guesthouse in the lanes behind Assi Ghat, for travellers who want the river at their doorstep without the five-star bill. Rooms are simple and scrubbed daily: a proper mattress, AC, hot water on tap, and windows that let the temple bells in.

The rooftop looks over the ghat and serves chai from 5 AM — you can watch the sunrise boats push off with a cup in hand before walking down to join one. Assi’s cafes, the morning yoga circle and the evening aarti are all under three minutes on foot. We hold a small block of rooms here; on booking you get the guesthouse’s number and ours on WhatsApp.
